We have some great news for Luke Cage fans concerning the premiere date. During the Daredevil premiere red carpet, Luke Cage star, Mike Colter dropped a bomb about Netflix’s newest super powered character. “Well, I’ll just say this. It’s going to be action-packed from the beginning to the very end. Trust me,” Colter goes on to say when asked what fans could expect next from his character, “Daredevil premieres March 18 and I will see the fans on September 30. You heard it here first.”
That’s right. Luke Cage will premiere this Sept 30th on Netflix. You can hear the news coming directly from Colter at the 2:10 mark on the video below.
The next question would be “When will fans be able to see footage from the new series?” Unfortunately, it may be a long wait. Considering Daredevil is premiering a week from now, it is unlikely that Netflix would want to detract attention from our favorite blind vigilante. We predict that the first trailer for Luke Cage will break the internet early august when it will be in direct competition with DC’s Suicide Squad.
