Cape town or as like to call it heroes die too is about a crime fighter known as the fog being murdered.
Liv and Major are fight because she went through his phone texted the girl and got a reply… apparently liv didn’t go to snoops 101 class because if you are invading someone’s privacy you don’t confront them until they slip up. So major is on his high horse and liv just looks like a crazy obsessive girlfriend that doesn’t trust her boyfriend. Of course Major isn’t exactly trustworthy but Liv doesn’t know that.
Major go out on his zombie patrol again and meets an intriguing zombie woman. I’m starting to think dead may be Major’s fetish. Since he stalks this woman then breaks into the home of a known zombie who is about to kill herself which his job would be done but of course suddenly moral Major stops her simultaneously angering her and inciting the wrath of an angry zombie. Who turns out to be a zombie call girl which is way more tragic then it sounds because they pay her in brains to have sex with “clients”. She helps Major understand liv better and lets him know what he is called in the zombie community “the boogeyman”.
Liv devours the brain of a caped crusader and develops a taste for justice. While Ravi play the role of sidekick perfectly. Her superhero name is the nightmare before Christmas which timed with her red eyes works perfectly.
Blaine rolls an almost dead body into the morgue for liv to “save” by turning him which she does only because Blaine claims he is the only one that know where the tainted utopium is. Liv does turn him but suffers a momentary moral issue. Blaine then explains zombies are real in his own unique way. Which I love just like everything else about Blaine. The new zombie works for creepy guy my money says son.
Turns out the victim wasn’t so innocent and actually robbed the crime boss and kill the fog. Liv goes to save the day taking out the henchmen in the building and freeing the “victim” only to be betrayed by he and nearly killed but creepy guy from a few episodes again saves her by killing the “victim”
Clive ends his professional relationship with Liv which devastates her then Major with his new “understanding” tells Liv the joys of synthetic brains which cause her to see that he really doesn’t understand her and that they should both be with their own kind.
Ravi appears again at the end of the episode to tell us that the “cured” zombie rat reverted back to being a zombie and that all hope seems lost for the human zombies who too will revert at some point.
Review:
Where is Liv’s family? We haven’t seen them once since she left the hospital and I can’t help but think that maybe someone would have reached out by now even if it’s the mother who thinks her daughters on drugs. These one liners are the worst please stop doing them immediately. What is Major going to do with all these frozen zombies when they wake up and realize what happened? Liv would be the most identifiable superhero ever. From the super pale skin and hair to her small frame, you could tell her from a mile way.
This episode gave me way more than I have come to expect from this series I felt the pain of liv and Major’s break up yet again. I saw the hurt in his eyes as he wrestled with what he had to do to keep liv safe. Ravi’s fear that he may never find a cure and hope is lost for the zombies that he knows and cares about. Liv wanting her life as a zombie to mean something. This episode took me to depths that I didn’t expect and just thinking about it has me on the verge of tears. I remember why I watch this show for a few episodes I’ve been questioning why I’m still watching this show and this episode reminded me.
Final Score: 7/10 Power Ups
