Trailer Breakdown: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016)

Hello random readers, both new and old. Welcome into another day of my tormented thoughts on the trailers that appear for movies today. We will be jumping head first, back into the fantasy world of Harry Potter as J.K. Rowling’s takes us on yet another adventure through the twist and turns of the wizarding world. This time , the adventure takes place in the movie “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them”. For those of you who are thinking that this is another installment of “Harry Potter”, you are sadly mistaken; this movie is set to take place long before the Harry Potter series even takes place, over 60 years to be exact.

This movie focuses on the adventure of Newt Scamander, who you might remember as the author of one of the books the students of Hogwarts had on their syllabi for the Care of Magical Creatures class in “Harry Potter”. For most of us, I included, getting a chance to glimpse further into the wizarding world is something we dreamed. However, as time has gone on and the “Harry Potter” books were finished and the films finally concluded, I found myself ready to leave J.K. Rowling’s whimsical world behind as a fond memory and I’m reluctant to enter back into the world just to be possibly saddened if it doesn’t live up to her earlier works.

Now, for all of you guy’s out there ready to wet your appetites with a bit of insight into the movie, this trailer is something you should check out after we have ended yet another session of trailer rambles by yours truly. This trailer, in my opinion, doesn’t really have any intrigue to it. It really is overly dramatic considering the minimal content contained in it; you don’t even get to see a small hint of a magical creature. If you were to view it, all you really get to see is the main character opening a suitcase that is suppose to have a large amount of magical creatures in it. There are also some creature noises but that's about it before you find out that some creatures have escaped and the main character will have to retrieve them. It seems as if they are solely banking on the hype that this is a movie in the same realm as Harry Potter.

I, for one, have no intention of seeing it. I shall let sleeping dogs lie as it were, but if you dare to dream once again about delving into the lives of wizards and creature kind alike, do go give it a chance and let me know if I’m wrong in my impressions.

Later O readers of mine
